Fabian Köster live in Mannheim: When the Reporter is put on the spot

For ten years, Fabian Köster has been asking the questions on the heute-show that suddenly make politicians urgently need an appointment. With his live program 10 Years of Reporter – almost – without Borders, the comedy author, stand-up comedian, and ZDF foreign reporter will be performing at the Alte Feuerwache Mannheim on October 27, 2026.

Sharp Questions, Quick Punchlines

Köster's trademark combines political cabaret, stand-up, and journalistic tenacity. On stage, he shares his experiences as a reporter, unusual interviews, and moments where perfect timing is more important than any prepared punchline. Those familiar with his appearances from the heute-show will now experience the energy of political satire up close.

From the TV Camera to the Live Stage

Fabian Köster started in 2009 as a poetry slammer and stand-up comedian. After performances at NightWash, TV total, and in the Quatsch Comedy Club, he initially became known as a writer for the heute-show and has regularly appeared in front of the camera as a foreign reporter since 2016. His stage show promises not just reflections but a direct look behind the scenes of political comedy.

Comedy with a Journalistic Bite

The program thrives on observational skills, interaction, and a feel for the moment. Köster dissects political conversation situations, transforms absurd everyday experiences into punchlines, and shows why a politely worded question sometimes packs more punch than an entire press release. The comedy atmosphere remains personal, fast-paced, and pleasantly unpredictable.

An Evening for Fans of Satire and Stand-up

Köster has been awarded, among other things, the German Television Award's Promotion Prize, the Hanns-Joachim-Friedrichs Prize, and the Grimme Prize. In Mannheim, his TV experience meets immediate audience reaction: Laughter, surprising twists, and the special thrill of experiencing a well-known reporter not in a news studio but right in the middle of a laughter-filled experience.

Conclusion: Fabian Köster brings ten years of reporting experience, political satire, and stand-up comedy to the stage. Those who enjoy sharp questions, pointed comments, and a lively comedy atmosphere will experience an evening full of conversation starters at the Alte Feuerwache Mannheim – and likely some answers that would have been cut from television.
