Garage-punk from Nashville meets Mannheim DIY energy
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, JUZ Friedrich Dürr in Mannheim will transform into a meeting point for edgy garage punk. Wesley & The Boys from Nashville, Tennessee bring direct, catchy rock’n’roll with a 77 punk edge, Killed-by-Death influences, and the rough energy of the 00s garage renaissance to the stage.
Raw sound with driving rock’n’roll foundation
Wesley & The Boys combine straightforward riffs, driving drums, and a deliberately unpolished sound into a high-energy stage performance. Their music moves between garage-punk, rock’n’roll, and bluesy punk groove. The result sounds direct, dirty, and always ready to break out.
Wesley & The Boys: Nashville between garage and punk
The band released the album Rock & Roll Ruined My Life in 2025. Their repertoire includes songs like Switchblade Twist, Full-Time Asshole, and Fight On the Internet. A review by Maximum Rocknroll highlighted the first-wave-influenced garage boogie of the band, while Nashville Scene placed Wesley & The Boys as part of Nashville's vibrant punk and garage scene.
Zero Zeroes from Karlsruhe as the second garage dose
Additionally, Zero Zeroes from Karlsruhe are on the program. The band brings a darker and more melodic garage note reminiscent of the Hex Dispensers. This creates a double concert that connects two variations of garage sound: uncompromising forward drive and darker, melodic timbres.
Doors open at 8 PM, concert starts at 8:30 PM
The doors open at 8:00 PM, with the concert beginning at 8:30 PM. JUZ Friedrich Dürr is known for an immediate live atmosphere, short distances between stage and audience, and concerts with a clear DIY attitude. The organizer points out that discriminatory behavior is not welcome.
Conclusion: Two bands, one evening full of garage punk
Visitors can expect a focused concert evening with Nashville garage punk, Karlsruhe counterwind, and an audience vibe that can lead straight into the mosh pit after work. Anyone who experiences raw guitars, striking riffs, and unfiltered stage energy should not miss Wesley & The Boys and Zero Zeroes live at JUZ Friedrich Dürr on October 14, 2026.
