On October 18, 2026, the OFF//FOTO ZWISCHENfestival will transform PORT25 in Mannheim into a concentrated meeting point for contemporary photography. A Festival for Photographic Presence
OFF//FOTO e.V. considers itself a central platform for artistic and documentary photography in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The festival was founded in 2014 as an initiative by photography enthusiasts and has focused on the regional photo scene from the very beginning. Following the successful edition in 2025 with 76 exhibitions at 55 locations and more than 200 participating artists, the ZWISCHENfestival 2026 sets new accents.

The ZWISCHENfestival presents nine curated exhibitions in Mannheim and Heidelberg from September 24 to October 18, 2026. More than 30 female and male photographers are dealing with ecological emergencies, geopolitical conflicts, and societal upheavals. The works range between reflection and escapism, crisis awareness, and the search for new perspectives.
At PORT25, among others, the series The Last Summer by the Berlin collective Hahn+Hartung and Temple Road by Josefine Rauch will be in focus. The exhibition program is complemented by further positions at different locations, workshops, artist talks, music, and a screening night.
PORT25 as Festival Center
PORT25 – Space for Contemporary Art, together with the Creative Industry Center C-Hub, forms one of the festival centers.
