Lieselotte celebrates her birthday: A joyful family experience in Mannheim
The beloved picture book cow Lieselotte turns 20 – and a child-friendly birthday celebration takes place at the Mannheim city library. Preschool children and first graders discover Lieselotte's world through a shared story, a song, and a creative crafting activity.
Reading, singing, and getting creative together
At the birthday celebration, the joy of picture books is combined with active participation. A Lieselotte story invites listening, wonder, and shared storytelling. During the following song, a cheerful sense of community arises before the children become creative themselves and implement a crafting idea.
Age-appropriate learning fun for little Lieselotte fans
The program is designed for preschool children and first graders. Reading strengthens language comprehension, concentration, and imagination. Singing supports language development and group feeling, while crafting stimulates fine motor skills, independence, and creative thinking. Thus, a picture book festival becomes a diverse learning experience filled with children's laughter.
A special birthday in the children's and youth library
The event takes place in the children's and youth library of the Mannheim city library. The protected indoor space creates a calm environment for shared listening, age-appropriate activity, and safe interactions. The birthday celebration is already fully booked.
Conclusion: Lieselotte's birthday becomes a colorful family moment
A story, a song, and a crafting activity make this library program a warm family experience full of curiosity, joy, and shared time. Children experience how much fun books, music, and creative crafting can bring together.
