Programming, tinkering, and marveling at the Coding4Society Action Day
Robot soccer, artificial intelligence, programming games, and an electric racing car: At the Coding4Society Action Day at TECHNOSEUM, families discover the digital world in a playful and understandable way. Children, teenagers, and adults experience together how exciting projects arise from ideas, technology, and teamwork.
Digital adventures to participate in
Here, it’s not just about watching: Young visitors can control robots, try out color codes, and explore programming ideas hands-on. The robot soccer combines movement, strategy, and technology into a special family experience. The Ozobot also shows, in a child-friendly manner, how colors and commands set machines in motion.
From robotics to artificial intelligence
The range of topics includes Lego robots and dancing NAO robots to artificial intelligence and computational linguistics projects. Families gain understandable insights into current research and discover how digital tools are changing our everyday life, the environment, and the working world.
Learning with curiosity and team spirit
The action day promotes age-appropriate learning through hands-on experimentation. Children strengthen their problem-solving skills, concentration, and creativity while tinkering together with others. The direct learning experience conveys technical connections in a child-friendly way and creates learning enjoyment without performance pressure.
Research you can touch
Partners from universities, research, and education present projects from robotics, e-mobility, biology, language, and computer science. Among the participating institutions are the Dual University of Baden-Württemberg Mannheim, the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, the German Cancer Research Center, and the Leibniz Institute for the German Language. Thus, Coding4Society connects children's programs, family education, and current science.
Family-friendly action day at TECHNOSEUM
The event is aimed at families, children, and teenagers. The open format allows for flexible visits between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Registration is not required. For public transport, TECHNOSEUM recommends lines 6 and 9 to the stop Luisenpark/TECHNOSEUM. For those arriving by car, the visitor parking lots Friedensplatz 1 to 3 serve as a destination.
Conclusion: Discover the digital world together
Coding4Society offers children's laughter, wonder, and shared time around technology and digital ideas. Families experience a varied action day that sparks curiosity, conveys knowledge understandably, and encourages children to try things for themselves. Anyone wanting to experience robotics, AI, and programming up close will find an inspiring family experience at TECHNOSEUM.
