Fritz Fliege takes families on a journey through space
On October 28, 2026, a very special dandelion rocket will launch at the Planetarium Mannheim: Fritz Fliege, Sigrid the Spider, and Gustav the Grasshopper embark on a fanciful adventure for little explorers aged four and up.
Right into a colorful space adventure
From a blooming flower meadow, the journey leads to distant celestial bodies. The children discover the moon, explore Mars, encounter constellations, and marvel at a talking stone and a real comet. The digital dome projection allows young visitors to deeply immerse themselves in the story, offering an intense family experience under the stars.
Learning fun with imagination and natural science
The child-friendly show combines adventure, humor, and astronomical knowledge. Children learn about planets, stars, and constellations in a playful way while gaining insights about rockets, the moon, Mars, and its rovers. Interactive elements encourage active thinking, curiosity, and the joy of discovery.
Age-appropriate and educationally valuable
The program is aimed at children from four years old, making it particularly suitable for families with preschool children. The learning experience remains vivid and comprehensible: A loving story creates an age-appropriate access to astronomy and supports the development of imagination, language comprehension, and scientific interest.
A safe place for shared time
The Planetarium Mannheim is an out-of-school learning location with modern projection techniques and educationally developed offerings. The presentation lasts about 50 minutes. For a relaxed family visit, early arrival is recommended so that children can calmly find their seats and prepare for the journey.
Conclusion: Wonder, learn, and take off together
Fritz Fliege flies into space provides families with children's laughter, wonder, and shared time under the starry sky. Little space fans experience a fanciful story while simultaneously discovering the basics of astronomy. A family experience for curious children and anyone who wants to see the cosmos from a particularly child-friendly perspective.
