LEGO® Lab in Mannheim: Build, tinker and discover your own ideas
In the LEGO® Lab of the Mannheim city library, children aged six and up experience a creative family event full of children’s laughter, curiosity and fun learning. While building, trying out and developing their own ideas together, colorful LEGO® bricks create a world full of possibilities.
Creative building ideas and exciting challenges
Each session is based on a specific theme and opens new ways to creatively use LEGO®. The young participants can look forward to varied building challenges, practical LEGO® life hacks, digital comics with LEGO® figures, and imaginative themed worlds such as Super Mario LEGO®.
Child-friendly learning fun with plenty of room for imagination
The LEGO® Lab combines playful learning with free creativity. Children develop their own solutions, try out various building techniques, and directly experience how an idea becomes a self-built model. This age-appropriate learning experience strengthens creativity, spatial thinking, endurance, and the joy of tinkering together.
Building together in the city library
At the Herzogenried branch, the Mannheim city library offers a protected indoor space for focused experimentation and community design. The educationally valuable participatory offering creates shared time and encourages children to make their own ideas visible and share them with others.

The LEGO® Lab takes place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The offer is aimed at children aged six and above and is free of charge. Registration is required. The event is already fully booked.
