Robin the Hood: Exciting children's action at the Mannheim City Library

A thieving adventure between secret service and snow globe

On October 7, 2026, the children's and youth library of the Mannheim city library transforms into the scene of a turbulent mission: Rüdiger Bertram's Robin the Hood – How to steal a city? brings excitement, humor, and fast-paced children's action together for students in 5th grade.

When a master thief encounters a super agent

Robin is a young master thief who falls into the trap of a secret service. Together with Agent Mary, he receives a mission that defies all limits: A snow globe with a model of the city is to be stolen. Inside it hides a dangerous virus, while the villain Madame Schenial reaches for world domination.

Dramaturgy between adventure and comedy

The story combines classic espionage elements with a humorous children's action comedy. Risky missions, surprising twists, and the contrasting characters of Robin and Mary create a lively interplay of tension and comedy. The stage experience arises from imagination: words transform into secret laboratories, threatening locations, and a snow globe with global significance.

Literature becomes stage experience

Rüdiger Bertram's material relies on clear dramaturgy, strong imagery, and a fast narrative rhythm. The theater atmosphere of the library creates immediate closeness between the audience and the story. Children experience how acting, voice, movement, and inner images create an adventurous world.
