Café Concert in Mannheim: Salonissimo gives musical brilliance to the OPAL foyer

Salon sounds and café magic in the OPAL foyer

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Ensemble Salonissimo transforms the OPAL foyer in Mannheim into a lively musical salon. At the Café Concert, upbeat light music from past times will resonate, accompanied by coffee and cake.

Musical journey with Salonissimo

For 30 years, Salonissimo has been one of the institutions at the National Theatre Mannheim. Wolfram Koloseus, Sorin Strimbeanu, Frank Ringleb, and Michael Steinmann present an afternoon full of elegance, lightness, and nostalgic flair. Their extensive repertoire brings the atmosphere of historical coffee houses and fine salons to life.

Cheerful sound for a special afternoon

The concert combines chamber music precision with entertaining stage performance. Fine arrangements, careful synchronization, and a warm ensemble sound create a relaxed live atmosphere where musical virtuosity and audience closeness come together. The OPAL foyer serves coffee and cake – a concert format for all who enjoy experiencing music with pleasure.

In the new ambiance of the Opera at Luisenpark

The Café Concert takes place in the foyer of OPAL, the Opera at Luisenpark. The intimate venue supports direct contact with the ensemble and gives the concert a personal salon atmosphere. Rather than large concert distance, musical closeness, atmospheric sounds, and a relaxed afternoon experience are in focus.

Conclusion: Musical enjoyment with nostalgic charm

Visitors can expect a cheerful concert afternoon with Salonissimo, café music, and culinary accompaniment. Those who want to experience the special connection of classical light music, atmospheric foyer, and personal live atmosphere should not miss the Café Concert at OPAL.
