Jazz in Pub Light: Tobias Altripp at the Bar Piano in Mannheim
On Friday, October 23, 2026, Tobias Altripp transforms the Kazzwoo – Jazz Café Bar into a relaxed meeting point for all those who prefer to experience jazz directly and casually. From 8:30 PM, the Mannheim pianist accompanies the cozy pub evening with live music in the background.
Between Bar Atmosphere and Fine Piano Colors
The focus is on the bar piano: warm tones, flexible improvisations, and a direct closeness to the audience. The music integrates into the atmosphere of Kazzwoo and creates the suitable sound for conversations, drinks, and concentrated listening.
Tobias Altripp: Jazz with Blues Tinge
Tobias Altripp is known as a Mannheim jazz pianist and a member of various trio formations. His debut album Experimental Blues from 2020 combines jazz piano and blues into a personal sound language. During the bar piano evening, his musical presence interacts directly with the space.
Live Music Without Concert Distance
Kazzwoo focuses on a relaxed club experience instead of grand stage productions. The audience mood remains approachable, while the touch, dynamics, and spontaneous musical turns at the piano become immediately tangible. Thus, an evening emerges that combines jazz club, pub culture, and improvised stage performance.
Free Admission, Hat Donation Welcome
Admission is free. A reasonable hat donation for the musicians is expected; visitors are requested to bring sufficient cash for this.
