TIRED BRAIN: When Personal Perception Becomes Visible

As part of the Light Mile 2026, the Theater Oliv in Mannheim presents the community art exhibition TIRED BRAIN. The project led by Tragni&Tragni artistically addresses neurodivergence and opens a sensitive space for personal experiences with AD(H)S.

Photography and Creative Texts as Artistic Language

The exhibition focuses on photographs and personal texts created during a five-day workshop in 2025. The works make inner states, everyday sensory overload, and individual perceptions visible, which often remain invisible in societal everyday life.

The combination of photography, installation, and creative writing creates an immediate engagement with the works. Images and words enter into a dialogue and invite viewers to question their own perception. Thus, an intense artistic experience emerges between documentary closeness, poetic condensation, and social sensitivity.

Community Art and Cultural Participation

TIRED BRAIN stands for an artistic practice that not only presents finished works but also places the experiences, voices, and perspectives of the participants at its center. The curation connects aesthetic experience with cultural education and creates an accessible starting point for discussions about neurodivergence.

The atmosphere of the exhibition at Theater Oliv is enhanced by two poetry contributions from Sophie Becker and Therese Degen. The texts can be experienced at 7 PM and 9 PM, adding a performative, linguistic layer to the visual exhibition.

An Evening in the Sign of Light Mile 2026

The exhibition takes place on the day of open studios as part of the Light Mile 2026. From 6 PM to 10 PM, visitors can view the works, engage with the themes of AD(H)S and neurodivergence, and experience photography and poetry in a concentrated spatial effect. Admission is free.

Conclusion: An Exhibition that Makes the Invisible Tangible

TIRED BRAIN connects personal stories with photography, installation, and poetry. The project promises a thoughtful, touching, and educational aesthetic experience. Anyone interested in contemporary art, community art, and socially relevant exhibitions should attend this special artistic experience live at Theater Oliv.
