Reading and Playing with Silvia: Great Imagination for Little Explorers

Reading and Playing with Silvia: Storytime for Little Explorers

When picture book pages come to life and children dive together into imaginative worlds, a special family experience is created. On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the Mannheim City Library at the Schönau branch invites children from four years old to a joyful reading and playing session with reading mentor Silvia.

Reading, Wondering, and Playing Together

An exciting story forms the centerpiece of the afternoon. By listening, observing, and then playing, children experience literature through multiple senses. Children's laughter, curiosity, and shared time make the event a child-friendly offering for families in Mannheim.

Age-Appropriate Learning Fun in the Library

The format is aimed at children from four years old. Reading supports language development, expands vocabulary, and stimulates imagination. The subsequent playing creates space for exchange, movement, and social learning experiences. The combination of literature and play addresses children appropriately for their age and makes the entry into the world of books particularly easy.

An Uncomplicated Family Afternoon

Participation is free, and no registration is required. Families can come directly to the Mannheim City Library – Schönau branch and spend a relaxed, communal time there. The event takes place indoors at the library.

Conclusion: Dive in Together and Discover Joy in Books

Reading and Playing with Silvia combines reading fun, imagination, and togetherness. Families can expect a warm, child-friendly library experience that sparks curiosity and a desire for more stories. Mark the afternoon now and experience the joy of reading together live.
