ORCA. Majesty of the Deep: A Literary Journey into the World of Orcas

When the voice of the author meets images, scientific insights, and the fascinating life of orcas, a special literary experience is created in Mannheim. Elena Gossmann presents on October 17, 2026, at Laboratorio17 her title ORCA. Majesty of the Deep in a multimedia lecture with reading and subsequent signing session.

Science, Visual Storytelling, and Language Art

Elena Gossmann combines scientific research, visual communication, and narrative precision. Her non-fiction book introduces the social and cultural complexity of orcas and makes biological connections as vivid as the emotional dimensions of their stories. Selected book passages give the evening a personal reading atmosphere and open the view to a genre between natural history, cultural history, and literary storytelling.

Orcas between Freedom, Loss, and Silent Grandeur

The focus is on intelligent marine mammals as social beings with traditional knowledge, complex communication, and lifelong family bonds. The book also tells stories of famous orcas like Keiko, Tilikum, Tahlequah, and Namu. Their stories of captivity, grief, adaptation, and hope reveal the contradictory relationship between humans and animals.

An Author between Art and Marine Conservation

Gossmann works as a graduate designer and communication expert. She uses scientific facts, illustrations, and narrative mediation to make complex content accessible without losing its professional depth. The book's creation was accompanied by Whale and Dolphin Conservation; a portion of the proceeds from sales supports orca protection.

An Evening for Literature, Nature, and Ocean Lovers

The multimedia lecture invites attendees to reconsider their relationship with nature. Between projections, voice, and book passages, an intimate author encounter emerges that imparts knowledge while leaving room for wonder. The event is expected to last until 7:30 PM. Afterward, there will be an opportunity for a signing session.

Conclusion: Discover Orcas Live as a Literary Experience
