Playing together, laughing and staying mentally fit
At the Mannheim City Library, Neckarau branch, "Neckarau plays" invites people aged 50 and above to a social gathering for board and card games. The event combines intellectual stimulation with social participation in a relaxed, senior-friendly atmosphere.
Playful encounters in a familiar setting
Under the guidance of Malgorzata Pusch-Ruppel, various board, card, and party games can be tried out. An initial instruction makes starting easy and creates space for fun, exchange, and new contacts. Participants are also welcome to bring their own games.
Mental fitness and well-being
Regular gaming addresses memory performance, concentration, and cognitive abilities. At the same time, shared experiences strengthen the community and foster social contacts. Familiar games and new game ideas bring variety to everyday life and create pleasant hours in company.
Age-appropriate community experience
The gathering is aimed at game-loving individuals aged 50 and above and anyone looking to rediscover the joy of playing together. The manageable group atmosphere supports a calm start and allows for interactions on an equal footing. This creates a valuable space for social participation, mental activity, and personal well-being.
