Becoming safer together with smartphone and tablet
A smartphone meetup can simplify everyday life and create new social contacts. On Thursday, 1st October 2026, the City Library of Mannheim invites seniors to an open meeting at the Central Library in Stadthaus N1.
Help with personal questions
From 10:00 to 11:30 AM, participants can bring questions about their smartphone or tablet. Staff members of the library and committed supporters will assist with individual concerns and provide practical tips for digital communication.
Learning from each other in a relaxed atmosphere
The open meetup combines media education with community. Seniors exchange experiences, try functions together, and find understandable answers to questions about apps, settings, and the daily use of digital devices. No prior knowledge is required; beginners are also welcome.
Seniors-friendly meeting point in the heart of Mannheim
The event takes place in the magazine office on the first floor of the Central Library. Stadthaus N1 is accessible by two elevators. Thus, the venue provides an important prerequisite for barrier-free access and pleasant participation.
Conclusion: Digital safety and personal encounters
The smartphone meetup offers practical support, social participation, and a valuable community experience. Those who want to better understand their smartphone or tablet while meeting other people will experience a helpful morning in a relaxed atmosphere. Participation is free and does not require registration.
