Superworm: A little crawling creature with great stage power

When the curtain rises on October 1, 2026, in the realm of grasses, hedges, and flower petals, a fanciful puppet theater adventure begins for children aged four and up. The Dornerei Puppet Theater brings Superworm, a story about friendship, courage, and solidarity, to the Schönau district library.

A fabulous world between grasses and flowers

Superworm is considered the coolest worm in the world. As a playmate for little crawlers, he is there in both rain and sunshine. The production opens the eye to a poetic insect world where even the smallest characters take on great tasks.

Puppets, branches, and lively imagination

The Dornerei Puppet Theater combines classical puppetry with a sensual stage design and an immediately told story. Between natural motifs and mysterious dangers, a theatrical atmosphere is created that draws young viewers directly into the action. The artistry of puppet handling makes courage, friendship, and helpfulness visible.

When friendship becomes a lifeline

Even a Superworm is in danger: his life hangs by a thread as lizard magic and pitch-black tricks threaten the insect world. The dramaturgy leads from playful amazement to an exciting test and shows how many little friends can stand together against a great threat.

A stage experience for the whole family

With a duration of approximately 50 minutes, the performance is particularly suitable for the first theater visit. The production combines humor, suspense, and poetic images into an age-appropriate cultural experience. Educational support material helps families and educational institutions follow up on the themes of the play even after the performance visit.

Conclusion: Small figures, great impact

Superworm promises a heartwarming puppet theater experience with lively puppets, imaginative natural images, and a story about the value of true friendship. Those who want to experience the magic of puppetry together with children will find a lovingly designed entry into the art of the stage here.
